Over
the years, if there is one thing that has puzzled me in my Christian
walk, then
that has to be the love of God. His love has been so amazing and
over-whelming that it
is very hard to understand as to why someone would love like He does.
Even
during times when I had walked away from Him and did things to hurt His
heart,
He never turned away; but has always been waiting with open arms to
embrace me.
Let me share a brief story in an effort to illustrate the love of Jesus.
A
boy
and a girl loved each other dearly and had a very strong relationship.
Eventually, the boy had asked the girl to marry him, and she consented.
Nevertheless, she laid before him a condition. The condition is that
the boy
would have to kill his mother, cut her heart out and bring it to the
girl.
Well, the boy did the unthinkable and as he was bringing his mother’s
heart, he
tripped and fell to the ground. Just then the mother’s heart spoke out,
“Son,
did you hurt yourself?”
The
love of Jesus Christ is very much
similar to the love of this mother that no matter whatever you’ve
done, He
still loves you.
A Short
Message
The
global economic crisis; earthquake in Japan; internal turmoil in the
Middle-Eastern and North-African nations;
potential war between Israel
and Iran...
As of December 2010, 14.5 million people remained jobless with around
2.9 million home
foreclosure
filings recorded for the full-year 2010 in the U.S.What's next? Where is
God in all of this? Certainly the events on earth have not taken God by
surprise. He is still on the throne, and still in total control. Since
God is
in control, we as followers of Christ need not worry. All these events
point to
one thing and that is the soon return of Christ.
We are living
in exciting times. Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our
very
eyes. I think the prophets, such as Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel would
have
longed to live in times such as these. The next big event on the
Christian
calendar is the Rapture of the Church (Now this event precedes the
second
coming of Christ). One of these days Jesus Christ is going to come in
the
clouds of heaven, set up His kingdom on this Earth and rule forever.
I believe with all my heart that this is going to happen very soon. The
reason
for my strong belief in this event is due to the fact that all of the
Bible
prophecies regarding the first coming of Christ were fulfilled to the
dot.
There are more than 300 Bible prophecies regarding the first coming of
Christ
and all of them were fulfilled literally.
For instance, Isaiah 7:14 (NIV) says, “Therefore the Lord himself will
give you
a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to son, and
will call
him Immanuel.” The Old Testament was written hundreds of years before
the New
Testament. This prophecy was fulfilled in Matthew 1:18 (NIV), “This is
how the
birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be
married to
Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child
through
the Holy Spirit.”
There are about
500 Bible prophecies that point to the return of Christ. So, it really
does not
take great faith to believe that He is coming back. You and I have the
privilege of ruling and reigning with Christ, if we truly know Him. I
encourage
all Bible-believing Christians to seek Him more clearly and love Him
more dearly.
If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I humbly
request
you to try Jesus.
Pray a simple prayer and ask Jesus to come into
your
life.
Say this prayer, “Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I repent of
my sins.
I ask you to forgive me, and wash me with your blood. I proclaim that
you are
the Son of God and that you died for me in Calvary. I
accept your substitutionary death.
Now, I make you my Lord and Savior.” If you prayed that prayer, I
believe you
got born again. Send an e-mail to daniel@christianbooksandmusic.net,
if you prayed that prayer or for any other comments.
